Job Title : Digital Court Reporter

Neal R. Gross and Co. is a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company based in the Washington, DC area, serving clients nationwide including courts, government agencies, and private sector entities. We are seeking experienced Digital Court Reporters for contract work at client sites in Dallas, TX. Candidates should be flexible, able to work from a few jobs per month up to 2-3 per week, and possess prior experience with the necessary equipment.

Responsibilities :

  • Digitally record and report proceedings accurately.
  • Capture verbatim records of courts, meetings, depositions, and hearings.
  • Administer oaths and participate in legal proceedings.
  • Transport, set up, and operate recording equipment.
  • Prepare for assignments by reviewing case information and ensuring hardware setup.
  • Secure exhibits, perform backups, and upload worksheets post-proceeding.
  • Maintain reports and logs; respond to communications promptly.
  • Represent Neal R. Gross & Co. professionally.
  • Interact with high-level clients including government and private industry.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Prior experience as a Digital Court Reporter with equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Independent work capability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and English skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant technology.
  • Ability to pass security screening for client sites, including government buildings.
  • Certification from NCRA, AAERT, or NVRA is preferred.
