Position : Supportive Living Caregiver

Salary : $20-23 / HR

Overview :

Star Developmental Services is seeking compassionate and charismatic individuals to mentor and support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence within their homes. As a Supportive Living Caregiver, you will provide essential caregiving and companionship, assist with daily living activities, and engage in community-based outings that foster social interaction.

Position Details :

• Type : Part-time
• Schedule : Saturday and Sunday, 8 : 00AM - 4 : 00PM

Qualifications :

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Clear background check and physical examination required.
• Willingness to complete a drug test.
• Valid California drivers license with a good driving history.
• Ability to assist with personal care needs and provide transportation for community outings and activities.

Job Responsibilities :

• Assist with daily living skills such as shopping, meal preparation, clean-up, and laundry.
• Encourage social activities and foster friendships and circles of support.
• Promote self-advocacy and independence among participants.
• Adapt support to meet the individual needs of each participant, demonstrating a commitment to the principles of supported living.
