Title : Account Specialist
Location : South Side of Chicago (Hybrid)
Industry : Electrical Manufacturing
Type of Role : Contract to Hire (Conversion after 6 months)
Pay : $30–$32 / hr on contract (salary bump upon conversion)

Sterling Engineering is working with a leading lighting manufacturer to hire two Account Specialists for their growing team. Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and online portals
Manage and track customer orders from entry through delivery
Communicate effectively with internal departments including production, logistics, and sales to ensure timely fulfillment
Resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and other service challenges
Maintain accurate customer records in ERP / CRM systems
Provide pricing, product, and availability information to customers
Collaborate with outside sales reps to support client relationships
Handle returns, credits, and warranty claims efficiently and professionally
Continuously look for process improvement opportunities within the customer service function
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in a customer service or account management role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
