Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MedSurg / Cardiac Telemetry position in Michigan with day shifts and Cerner experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a MedSurg / Cardiac Telemetry floor within a hospital setting
  • Day shift : 3x12-hour shifts (07 : 00–19 : 30)
  • Weekend and holiday shifts required
  • Call is not required
  • Charting is done using Cerner Powerchart, and experience with Cerner is required
  • May float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as needed based on volume or census
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Pre-assignment modules (up to 8 hours) must be completed within 1 week of signing
  • Travelers must exhibit the highest standards of professional conduct; unprofessional behavior or call-offs may result in contract termination
  • Must be willing to work at least one holiday if requesting time off during the holiday period

    • Requirements

  • Active MI RN license or willingness to participate in licensure process
  • At least 1 year of RN experience required
  • Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Cerner Powerchart experience required
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Return staff must be gone 3 years before being eligible as a traveler
  • Able to complete all required certifications prior to start (pending certs accepted)
