A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a full-time exempt Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics on the Mesa, Arizona campus.

Position Summary :

The Department invites applications for a full-time Assistant / Associate Professor of Biostatistics (rank commensurate with qualifications), which is a 12-month residential position located on ATSU’s Mesa, Arizona campus. Consistent with all ATSU faculty, this is a 3-year renewable faculty appointment eligible for tenure per university policy. The successful candidate will (1) teach graduate-level research methods / biostatistics / data analysis courses designed for professional health sciences students; (2) provide statistical consultation and collaboration for faculty and faculty-directed student research on study design, analysis, and interpretation; (3) engage in collaborative, applied research in the health sciences; and (4) contribute to service at the department, school, and professional levels.

Key Responsibilities :

• Teach 2–3 courses per academic year (3 credits each) in research methods, biostatistics, and related data analysis topics for graduate, entry-level professional, master’s, and doctoral learners (co-instruction opportunities may be available). Course delivery methods are primarily residential; hybrid and online delivery may also be required.
• Provide biostatistical consultation for faculty and faculty-directed student projects, including study design, analytic plans, data management, interpretation, and dissemination.
• Engage in collaborative, applied scholarship with health sciences colleagues; participation as the statistical member on grant applications is encouraged (external funding not required, but is highly encouraged).
• Advise / mentor students and contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Provide service to the department, institution, and profession (e.g., committees, curriculum efforts, faculty development, professional organizations).
