Maintenance Technician in Blythewood, SC

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do :

• Works closely with production supervisors and operators to support production initiatives, including but not limited to, equipment modifications and repairs, and preventative maintenance of the equipment as well.
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and makes necessary repairs using skills and knowledge listed below.
• Records and Schedules maintenance tasks, including time, parts, and other materials used to complete tasks.
• Lead and / or manage special projects as necessary
• Requisition parts, materials, labor and support to complete job tasks.
• Fabricates replacement parts as needed for machinery.
• Fosters an environment that promotes PPT’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
• Locates and determines electrical and electronic malfunctions by using test instruments on production equipment and machinery.
• Perform other duties as required.

Essential Functions :

Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Climbing stairs

Working from secured platforms of up to 40 feet high.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Wear all personal safety equipment required by Company policy and follow all Company safety policies and procedures.

Understand and consistently perform daily tasks i.e. (paperwork, computer entries, cleaning)

Ability to safety operate machinery.
