Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Full Time in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure atmosphere for employees and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people, support access control measures, and contribute to a positive workplace culture that values teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a secure environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives as directed by site leadership.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid guard card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and / or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
