About The Position

License : Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program

Certifications : BLS required; CST preferred but not required

Must-Have : Excellent critical thinking and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation

Description :

This assignment requires a highly skilled and experienced surgical technologist.

Candidates must have a wide level of experience in ortho, neuro, vascular, and other specialties.

Candidates who lack a full breadth of current experience will not be considered.

Actual weekly shifts will be agreed upon during the phone interview.

Candidates with minimal requested time off will receive priority consideration.

The surgical technologist will work 36-40 hours per week.

Shifts can be three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts.

Start and end times are negotiable.

There will be approximately one weekend on call every 5 weeks.

On-call duties will be split between two rotations, with 1-2 calls per week.

Based on department needs, call volume could increase.

All calls require a 30-minute response time.

Holiday call rotation may be required if a holiday falls within the contract.

This rotation is based on current patient census and staffing.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and knowledge of instrumentation.
