Billing Specialist

Responsibilities :

• Work closely with Project Managers to generate accurate client billings.
• Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of billing-related documents, including change orders, contracts, and lien waivers.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and change requests.
• Prepare and process GMP billing for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with GMP and accurate billing.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress billings and maintain backup documentation for audits.
• Process customer payments timely and contact customers regarding overdue payments.
• Locate customers using appropriate resources and process payments and refunds.
• Call customers to resolve billing and credit issues and encourage timely payments.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to streamline processes.
• Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures with proper internal controls.
• Assist with special projects, billing / collection research, and ad hoc analysis.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 / hr.
