As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Unarmed Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a prestigious retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 09 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Tuesday 09 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Friday 09 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Saturday 09 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Sunday 09 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or unauthorized access.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas within the retail environment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response efforts as needed, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions to emergency responders.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • CPR certification and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
