In 2024, we celebrated our 25th year delivering veterinary care to pets whose families cannot afford or access market sector care, and we also met a huge milestone : welcoming our 2 millionth patient visit.

Emancipet's Adams Ave Clinic provides much-needed low-cost care in the Philadelphia area. We are looking for a Clinic Manager that will ensure that the Adams Ave Clinic spay / neuter and healthy pet services operate safely and efficiently, while providing transformative customer service to all clients and their pets.

The Clinic Manager oversees daily operations and supports a staff of veterinary technicians who also serve as customer service specialists, ensuring they have the training and materials that they need to perform their roles with excellence, meet our high medical standards and SOPs, and maintain a high level of engagement. Compassionate service is a top priority, and the Clinic Manager has an important role in ensuring that every single client is treated with dignity. Our ideal Clinic Manager has a deep, personal passion for our mission, is a "people person" and a critical thinker who loves collaborating and solving tough problems.

Other accountabilities include :

  • Recruiting and retaining energetic, optimistic employees
  • Developing people and processes that are aligned with organization values and result in gained efficiencies
  • Ensure financial sustainability and growth through budget management and interpretation of various reports

Requirements include :

  • 2-3 years successful leadership or supervisory experience in a health care, nonprofit, and / or customer service setting
  • Ability to learn and quickly master various software applications
  • Being adaptable / flexible enjoying work that requires frequent shifts in direction
  • Experience in prioritizing tasks while working with minimal supervision
  • Experience as a Vet Tech (or ability to become one very quickly)
  • Ability to walk and ascend / descend stairs and ramps, remain standing for long periods of time, bend / stop, squat / crouch, climb, kneel and twist, adjust or move equipment and animals weighing up to 50 lbs., verbally communicate with others, and type and engage in other repeated hand motions that include of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.

  • We offer a competitive compensation package including medical, life, vision, and dental insurance, PTO, and generous discounts for your pets. The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and job function.
