We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations, with a strong focus on payroll processing, benefits administration and compliance management. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to employees and management, ensuring HR processes run efficiently and align with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process semi-monthly payrolls for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Maintain accurate payroll records including timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, and garnishments.
• Handle payroll discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholding, and deductions.
• Stay updated on payroll legislation and recommend changes as needed.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits.
• Coordinate open enrollment, new hire enrollments, and changes throughout the year.
• Act as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
• Review and process benefits invoices from carriers accurately and on time, ensuring proper reconciliation and cost control.
• Maintain and update company policies and procedures.
• Maintain company's insurance policies and reporting for Workers' compensation and liability coverage.
• Manage workers' compensation claims process, including liaising with insurance providers and employees to facilitate smooth claim resolution.
• Manage and administer Employee Leave of Absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, personal leave, etc.).
• Prepare and complete audits and compliance reporting required by state, county, and federal agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform additional HR tasks and projects as assigned.
