Position Overview :
Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc., a leader in aquatic life support equipment and systems, is seeking a detail-oriented shop technician to join our team.
This is an entry-level shop production position that requires a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a technical field including manufacturing, construction, plumbing, or field service installation. Educational experience in a related technical trade school, vocational college, or field training may substitute for work experience.
The qualified candidate will have proficiency and experience working with hand tools and power tools. Prior fabrication experience utilizing plastic materials, FRP, PVC piping, metal, wood, and other building materials, preferably in a water-related industry, is strongly preferred. Basic understanding of electrical wiring is preferred but not required. The Shop Technician I will be provided with progressive training and is expected to successfully complete Integrated Aqua Systems' basic training program with an acceptable level of proficiency. The right person will have a positive attitude with good communication skills. Must be willing and able to complete a range of tasks and functions successfully and in a timely fashion to help the company complete projects on time and within budget. Must be hardworking, easy to work with, detail-oriented, and have pride of workmanship.
Job Description :
The Shop Technician I position will report to the Production Manager and carry out hands-on daily production tasks including mounting mechanical equipment, manufacturing custom parts, PVC plumbing, assembling systems, testing, and shipping our products and systems. Other duties include maintaining an organized clean shop area, production tasks such as maintaining documentation, receiving materials, crating, packaging, loading, and working with others to complete projects. Assist with other areas of business as necessary.
Physical Requirements :
Shop / warehouse environment.
Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written methods.
Frequent use of typical office equipment, including computers and keyboards.
Additional Details :
Job Type : Full-time (M-F) with possible overtime (40-55 hours / week)
