We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Technical Writer with specialized experience in developing and editing documents that support federal and state regulatory compliance, particularly within the transportation safety sector.

Job Description

The individual will work closely with the Sr. Manager and staff to draft, format, and consolidate safety-related documents while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting, editing, and formatting safety documentation in alignment with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and USDOT requirements, including Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASPs).
• Combining and harmonizing multiple documents into a unified, consistent format.
• Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with version control and change tracking protocols.
• Supporting the development of safety audit documents, inspection checklists, and forms.
• Collaborating with managers and staff to handle multiple concurrent safety projects and deliverables.
• Maintaining a high level of document integrity, regulatory compliance, and professional formatting standards.
