About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Oncology nursing

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Previous charge experience is preferred

Patient ratio experience of 6 is required

Charting system experience with Epic is required

Description :

Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical surgical or oncology setting is required.

Nurses will manage a patient load of 6 patients per shift.

Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports and administering chemotherapy.

Nurses will provide care coordination and patient education.

Skills in managing complications such as extravasation injury and acute tumor lysis syndrome are essential.

Understanding of medication tolerance and dependence assessment is necessary.

Experience with palliative and comfort care is required.

Foley catheter insertion and management, as well as wound care, are critical aspects of the role.

Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services and social services.

Knowledge of patient diagnoses like sepsis, pneumonia, and anemia is important.

Flexibility and willingness to provide weekend coverage may be required.
