Responsibilities Work in a surgical Med / Surg unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes complex post-operative surgical cases Responsibilities include monitoring new tracheostomies, wound vac and complex wound management, and ostomy care Day shift schedule, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, 3 shifts per week Use of Epic EMR is required Provide post-operative care for complex surgical patients, including advanced wound and ostomy management Work collaboratively with surgical residency and OMFS residency teams RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Candidates may not be engaged for more than 1 year continuously at the facility and must take a 6-month break before returning First-time travelers are accepted No travel partners are accepted Compliance requirements must be completed by the Monday prior to start date Requirements Active Illinois RN license; temporary licenses are accepted Minimum of 1 year of relevant Med / Surg nursing experience BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required Experience working in a Level 1 trauma setting is required Epic charting experience is required ASN required; BSN preferred Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614897.
