Testing and Manufacturing Engineer

The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is a next-generation sawmill operator focused on sustainable manufacturing of dimensional wood products. TLM is in the process of designing a state-of-the-art modular sawmill optimal for producing high-grade dimensional products, with a focus on simplicity and fast construction. Position Summary :

As a member of the Design Engineering organization, you will contribute to the development and test of machine centers critical to the operation of the sawmill. You will be the key link between design and execution.

A Manufacturing and Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring comprehensive and safe assembly and test of TLM's machine centers. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure components can be made or sourced and all elements of the design can come together according to the design intent. You will then guide operations through assembly and test while gathering critical data and performing pertinent analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with design engineers to understand design intent and translate that into assembly and test procedures.
• Work collaboratively with TLM's operations team to assemble and test machine centers.
• Participate in design reviews and provide manufacturability feedback.
• Design fixtures that will aid in the assembly or measurement process.
• Execute, capture and organize data from machine center verification testing.
• Provide component and assembly quality inspection.
• Verify and direct controls integration.
• Champion root cause and corrective action investigations as needed.
• Provide regular updates to cross-functional partners.

Start of salary range : $80,000

Work Location : Greater Tupelo, MS or surrounding areas. This role is required to be on-site at Mississippi mill sites.
