About the Role :
The Finance Attorney will join the firms Real Estate & Public Finance practice, providing strategic legal counsel on sophisticated financing and development projects throughout New Jersey and beyond. This role requires a strong background in structuring and negotiating complex financing transactions, as well as expertise in federal and state tax credit programs.
Please note : The role requires on-site presence at the Roseland, NJ office for the first year. Afterward, a hybrid schedule may be offered.
Key Responsibilities :
- Structure and negotiate complex commercial real estate and development transactions.
- Handle public and private financings, including tax-exempt bond financing.
- Manage state and local government lending programs and incentive agreements.
- Advise clients on federal and state tax credit programs (e.g., New Markets, Historic, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits) and related corporate structuring.
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions in real estate finance, public finance, and incentives.
- Provide high-quality client service through exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the New Jersey Bar.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance or real estate, or public finance law.Strong expertise in federal and state tax credit programs and multi-layered financing structures.Experience with state and local incentive programs (strongly preferred).Exceptional skills in drafting, negotiation, and client communications.Substantial experience practicing law in New Jersey.Benefits :
