The Revenue Cycle Patient Liaison assists patients and their caregivers with any non-medical questions or concerns.
Revenue Cycle Patient Liasion Essential Responsibilities
- Serves as primary contact for patient billing issues
- Acts as a liaison with the Patient, the Call Center, and the Care Centers to ensure resolution in billing issues and patient account discrepancies
- Thoroughly analyze individual claim inquiries (Authorization / Mismatch Denials; COB; Credentialing, etc.) to assist patients in resolving their concerns
- Perform insurance verification via appropriate platforms – i.e. Availity, PEAR, NaviNet, UHC, etc.
- Update patients’ insurance in eClinicalWorks (eCW) as identified. Verify insurance benefits and request the eCW RCM Team to submit to the payer(s)
- Follow up with patients on their billing concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Participate in the evolution and refinement of quality improvement processes
- Maintain compliance with government regulations and industry requirements
- Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience
Working knowledge of medical insurance / medical terminology; insurance cards and major medical benefits; insurance rules and contracts.Basic business skills with a moderate level of proficiency, including a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.Accurate and precise attention to detail.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.Goal-oriented, organized team player.Preferred Education and Experience
eCW (eClinicalWorks) experience.Two years of experience as a medical biller.Two years of medical office experience.
