Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)

Facility : Main Operating Room, Level I Trauma Center, Academic Teaching Hospital

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : November 3, 2025

Shifts : 3x12-hour day shifts (06 : 30 – 19 : 00); typically Saturday, Sunday, plus one weekday

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530-$1640

On-Call : No call required

Weekend Requirement : Up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks

Holiday Requirement : At least one major holiday period (Christmas or New Year’s)

Floating : May float within scope to meet facility needs

Charting System : EPIC

Scrub Color : Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact Registered Nurse license (must be active prior to start)

BLS certification required

Radiation badge (provided by agency)

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required (2 years strongly preferred)

Experience in Level I Trauma Center preferred

Scrub nurse experience strongly preferred

Ability to float within scope as needed

First-time travel nurses accepted

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

OR RN Responsibilities

Circulate and scrub for diverse surgical procedures, including trauma, transplant, orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotic surgeries

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, nurse-driven environment

Maintain patient safety and infection control standards throughout perioperative care

Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records

Participate in orientation and complete required training modules prior to start

Demonstrate flexibility to float to similar units as needed

Deliver compassionate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
