Overview of the Role :

As a Permit Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in advancing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects that power communities nationwide. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge renewable energy technology while building relationships with regulatory authorities and driving sustainable infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and manage permit applications for BESS construction projects across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Track permit status and ensure timely submission of all required documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and project management teams
- Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements
- Identify potential permitting issues early and develop proactive mitigation strategies
- Maintain comprehensive records of permit applications, approvals, and communications
- Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications :
3-5 years of experience in corporate environment, preferably in permitting or regulatory complianceExperience with renewable energy, electrical utility, or major infrastructure construction projects preferredStrong understanding of building codes and permitting processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environmentsStrong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with excellent documentation capabilitiesProblem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory requirementsPerks of Working with AP Recruiters & Associates :
