The Mid-County Branch is seeking a full-time Library Associate to perform a variety of circulation, reference, and clerical duties to meet the needs of Library customers.

We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.

Salary : $37,429.00

Hours :

Monday, Tuesday, Friday : 8 : 30 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday : 11 : 45 a.m. - 8 : 00 p.m.

One Saturday and Sunday per month

Essential Responsibilities :

• Performs circulation duties to establish and maintain accurate customer records.
• Interviews customers to assess their needs in order to provide appropriate assistance or information.
• Assists customers with public access computing to ensure they make effective use of technological resources.
• Educates customers in Library skills to enable them to become confident Library users.
• Performs clerical duties, in accordance with performance standards, to maintain the organization of Library materials and provide customer services.
• Organizes and participates in special projects and programming to enhance the quality of service to the community.
