Assistant Director Of Recruitment And Programming
Reporting to the Associate Director of EOF, the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Programming provides comprehensive recruitment, admissions oversight, and student support programming for economically and educationally disadvantaged students within the Future College Graduate Academy including The Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) and other sub-population programs. This position serves as both recruitment efforts and programmatic initiatives, managing a partial caseload of scholars while ensuring equitable access to higher education for underrepresented populations. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in expanding access to higher education through strategic recruitment, campus-level admission processes, and holistic support services that address the unique needs of first-generation college students and graduate students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities :
Student Support & Programming :
- Provide comprehensive individual and group programming and academic advising to assigned scholars.
- Manage a caseload of EOF scholars which includes managing systems related to data collection and assessment of scholars to measure academic and holistic success and support needed.
- Engage in individual and group counseling focusing on student needs which are but not limited to : financial support, academic support, mental health and emotional referrals and support services, career readiness and development.
- Deliver holistic support services encompassing learning community integration, course selection guidance, interpretation of institutional requirements, major / minor selection, and graduation planning specifically tailored to EOF and similar program participants.
Recruitment & Admissions :
Lead comprehensive recruitment initiatives to identify and attract prospective EOF-eligible students.Conduct targeted outreach to high schools, community colleges, and community-based organizations throughout New Jersey to reach students.Collaborate with campus admissions staff to evaluate EOF applications and make admission recommendations.Facilitate information sessions and presentations about EOF program benefits.Coordinate recruitment efforts for diverse EOF populations.Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.Support prospective students through the application process.EOF Graduate Grant Administration :
Administer the EOF Graduate Grant Program.Manage the application and award process for graduate students.Assists and collaborate in conducting financial eligibility assessments.Coordinate with the Office of the Registrar to verify student acceptance and enrollment.Maintain accurate records of graduate grant recipients.Technology & Data Management :
Utilize electronic student information systems.Maintain accurate records and generate reports on student outcomes.Supervision & Training :
Supervise part-time staff and student workers.Provide training on program-specific procedures.Mentor team members in understanding the unique challenges.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications : Required :
Master's degree from accredited college or university.A minimum of three years of experience in higher education support services.Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding financial aid and or grants management.Strong analytical, data management, and research skills.Preferred :
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
