Application Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will optimize software applications that bridge technical teams and end-users, addressing business needs through innovative solutions and enhancing member or internal user experiences. You will design, develop, test and maintain scalable and resilient distributed systems that power our core products and services. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the evolution of our architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed systems and microservices that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Optimize system performance and reliability through monitoring, profiling, and tuning
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
• Generate and adhere to application and software development engineering policies, standards, and procedures
