What You'll Do
- Develop service plans for people on your caseload, while consulting with businesses to help develop new jobs.
- Help employers develop natural supports that work for everyone.
- Visit job sites to coach participants using positive behavior support techniques.
- Travel to and between work locations using transportation that meets the needs of the employee.
- Meet with potential employers to develop customized jobs.
- Discover client interests and abilities and translate those into paid jobs.
- Document progress toward goals using cloud-based apps on a cell phone or company-provided Chromebook.
- Attend planning meetings with clients to set career goals.
What You'll Bring
Degree in a related field. One year of disability experience in human services, social work, teaching, psychology, etc. may be accepted in lieu of a degree.Reliable transportation and ability to drive for work including a valid driver's license in good standing and proof of auto insurance.Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting is preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Professional, collaborative, and outcome-driven approach.An open and positive approach to life.Comprehensive training in the three-step process of Discovery, Job Development, and Follow-along Coaching will be provided.What We Offer
