Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire product creation cycle-from initial concept development through to final sample approval.
Design across a broad range of apparel categories, including knitwear, sweaters, tops, pants, and outerwear.
Perform competitive and trend analysis to identify emerging styles, innovative materials, and opportunities to enhance current offerings.
Partner with merchandising to build a seasonal assortment that aligns with strategic goals and supports both core and specialty lines (e.g., elevated collections).
Produce precise design illustrations using Adobe Illustrator, incorporating fabric suggestions and trend insights.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including technical design, sourcing, graphics, trims, and print to ensure cohesive development.
Review and approve fabric selections and participate in fit sessions.
Serve as the lead liaison with manufacturing partners, providing detailed guidance on garment construction, finishes, and improvements.
Present seasonal concepts and finalized collections to leadership, sales teams, and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate product specifications are shared with Product Development for proper PLM entry and creation of detailed, production-ready tech packs.
Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a corporate fashion design setting.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision and product development expertise.
Proven background in designing activewear or performance apparel, with a solid understanding of technical textiles.
Experience in men's fashion design.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator.
Preferred Skills
Experience with 3D design tools such as Browzwear or Netgraphic.
Background in golf apparel or performance sportswear.
Familiarity with advanced fabric technologies like moisture management, stretch properties, and other performance features.
