Patrols district property to protect students, personnel, and visitors from harm and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism. Enforces laws including municipal, county, and state laws. Works independently.

Supervisory Responsibilities : None.
Equipment Used : District vehicle, firearm, handcuffs, alarm system, fire extinguisher, security equipment, computer, typewriter, copier.
Working Conditions : Maintain emotional control under stress. Physical demands include strenuous walking, standing, climbing, operating vehicles, and working outdoors in varying conditions. On call 24 hours.
Education / Certification : High school diploma or GED, Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE), valid Texas driver's license.
Skills : Knowledge of criminal law, investigation, report writing, ability to use firearms and handcuffs, work well with youth and adults, background in law enforcement preferred.
