Travel Nurse Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary : $2070-$2220 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 10, 2025 (must start 11 / 10 or 12 / 1) Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (10 : 30 AM – 9 : 00 PM), Monday to Thursday; possible call and late days Weekly Hours : 40 Healthcare Setting : Main Operating Room Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Orientation : 40 hours (includes 6-8 hours of modules) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Proven experience with craniotomy and burr hole procedures required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (CNOR preferred) Preferred : Previous charge nurse experience and trauma level I / II experience Preferred : Experience with Allscripts or Altera electronic charting systems Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Travel nursing experience preferred OR RN Responsibilities Deliver perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures, including neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures Assist with surgeries such as amputations, spinal fusions, joint replacements, and trauma cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response) Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems Participate in call rotation and accommodate late days as needed Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care to all age groups Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse in Abilene, Texas, and take the next step in your nursing career!
