Job Title : A-Level Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment

Location : Staten Island (with travel throughout New York)

Pay Rate : $35–$55 / hour

Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable A-Level Diesel Mechanic to join our equipment maintenance team. This senior-level role involves advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of diesel-powered construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. The position is based in Staten Island, NY with paid travel and lodging for assignments across New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Lead preventive maintenance efforts on skid steers, compressors, generators, trailers, and other fleet equipment
• Conduct and oversee DOT inspections, ensuring full compliance with safety and emissions standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status to supervisors
• Respond to field service calls and emergency repairs with minimal supervision

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00 / yr.
