Overview

TurnerConstruction is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing Data Lakehouse team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting on a scale. You'll work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to enable trusted, high-quality data across the organization. We are looking for someone who thrives in a cloud-native environment and is comfortable owning end-to-end data workflows—from ingestion to serving—in a modern ELT architecture. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Develop and orchestrate data workflows using Databricks as well as converting existing Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Manage structured and semi-structured data ingestion into our Data Lakehouse platform (Delta Lake architecture).
• Build reusable, tested, and well-documented transformation logic with Databricks.
• Monitor data pipeline health, performance, and integrity; proactively resolve issues and ensure SLA compliance.
• Partner with analytics, engineering, and business teams to deliver well-modelled, production-ready datasets.
• Experience in Databricks view creation, partitioning, and optimization to ensure BI tools such as PowerBI can utilize Data Assets efficiently.
• Collaborate on the governance and documentation of metadata.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and platform evolution in support of enterprise data strategy.
