Opportunity : RN - PCU Job Details : - Work in a 20-bed progressive care unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients - Handle short stay patients (less than 24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover - Patient ratios of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 stretch depending on level of care - Work with telemetry equipment - all patients hardwired to bedside monitor when telemetry monitoring indicated - Use Cerner EMR system - Float to other units as needed - Every other weekend required, no call required - Required certifications : BLS and ACLS - Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience - Recent progressive care experience preferred - Dress code : Navy and / or white top, navy bottom, all white scrubs acceptable - Day shift staffing : 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs - Night shift staffing : 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs - Seeking candidates with positive attitude, patient experience focused, kind, compassionate, and team player qualities Facility : This flagship hospital is licensed for 815 beds and serves as the region's referral center featuring the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
