Overview

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced F5 Engineer / Load Balancer with strong technical knowledge of GTM and LTM, and a proven track record in complex network environments. The role requires advanced troubleshooting, configuration design, and collaboration across technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain F5 LTM and GTM load balancers for high-availability web applications.
Deploy and manage advanced F5 modules including APM, ASM, Web Accelerator, and iControl API.
Troubleshoot advanced networking issues involving BGP, HTTPS, TCP / IP, and SSL protocols.
Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams to define complex configuration designs.
Perform root-cause analysis, risk mitigation, and security assessments for F5 deployments.
Document configuration designs, procedures, and runbooks for engineering best practices.
Provide executive-level presentations and executive-level communication of technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of F5 LTM and GTM experience, with at least 1 year of F5 APM and ASM experience.

1+ year of AVI / VMware experience.

CCNP, F5 201, or equivalent professional work experience.

Advanced knowledge of load balancer, DNS, SSL off-loader, and PKI management.

Expertise in application switching, traffic management, and persistence.

Proficiency with F5 iControl API and application integration.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present at executive level.

5–7+ years of network engineering or technology management experience.

Desired Qualifications

Root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and security threat assessment experience.

Functional knowledge of F5 advanced feature modules including Web Accelerator, ASM, and APM.

ITIL certification or strong understanding of IT Service Management processes.

Python development and bash scripting experience.

Experience with network packet filtering, iRules, and mitigation methods.

Skills

F5, LTM, GTM, APM, ASM, AVI / VMware, Cisco routers and switches, BGP, TCP / IP, HTTPS, SSL.

ITIL, Remedy, CCNP, Python, Bash scripting, iRules.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 – $57.00 / hr.
