Job Description
Our Assistant Regional Operations Application Managers assist to bridge the latest in hardware and software functions in transportation technology and work closely with our frontline operation leaders to instill best practices of implementation, proper usage of current systems and fill-in when needed, to run their day-to-day operations, efficiently and effectively, under the direct supervision of the Regional Operations Application Manager.

Hybrid - This position is classified as hybrid, involving a combination of remote and on-site work. The successful candidate must be able to travel as needed between Tillson, NY and Buffalo, NY. Employees residing within a reasonable distance of a terminal may be expected to report on-site to support operational needs.

- Introducing new hardware and software technology on PC based platforms to operational supervisors and support staff.
- Working both on site and remotely with terminal managers, dispatchers, shop personnel and support staff to ensure proper and maximum use of all software programs responsible for daily operation.
- Offer first level support service to all key elements related to software application technology and provide answers to questions / issues as they arise during daily operations.
- Assist with developing and distribution of KPI dashboards and reporting functions / features in multiple transportation software design used by operational management.
- Manage reports and stream them into the field to reduce down-time / operational costs while maximizing work efficiency flow.
- Assist with multilevel operational / terminal support which include recruiting efforts including job fairs, system networking and data postings, high-level visibility on overall operations with ability to jump into a position when / where needed.
- Work closely with local management team (to include Terminal Manager, General Manager, VP and / or SVP of region) to communicate the current state of each operating facility and be sure the technology platforms are being utilized to their upmost potential.
- Participate and evaluate in conference calls including webinars with the ability to host and screenshare to assist terminal with use and delivery of current projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration and take directive action from corporate and relate information into field.
- Software's include School bus routing, employee time and attendance tracking and utilization, GPS / navigation, camera systems, charter / sales billing, maintenance / inventory management and tracking, employee compliance and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the year, primarily within New York State.
- Attend conferences for continued learning.
- Must pass pre-employment screenings.
Experience :
- 3+ years in student transportation industry, school busing, logistics, or equivalent.
- 3+ years in management or supervisory role.
- General knowledge of transportation laws and regulations at federal and state levels.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 which include : Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Web browser experience including main toolbar features and functions and caching in Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
