ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • 13-week contract assignment

    • \n

  • No on-call requirements

    • \n

  • Maintain 2 : 1 or 1 : 1 patient ratios depending on acuity

    • \n

  • Weekend requirements : 6 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

    • \n

  • Work with 20-bed ICU unit alongside charge nurse and 10 RNs per shift

    • \n

  • Experience required with cardiac monitoring and rhythms

    • \n

  • Must have experience with titratable drips and understanding of hemodynamics

    • \n

  • Experience required with respiratory patients including vents, BiPap, trachs, and Airvo

    • \n

  • Preferred experience with CRRT and SLED dialysis

    • \n

  • Participate in procedures including central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, lumbar punctures, and intubations

    • \n

  • Work with GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Prismax CRRT, and Tablo SLED equipment

    • \n

  • Use Meditech EMR system

    • \n

  • Dress code requires navy scrubs

    • \n

  • Must demonstrate team player qualities with positive attitude and adaptability

The facility maintains a well-staffed ICU environment with experienced nursing teams and offers comprehensive critical care services including advanced respiratory support, continuous renal replacement therapy, and various critical procedures. The unit emphasizes teamwork and maintains high standards for patient care in a supportive work environment.
