job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the location. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Support the enforcement of property rules and regulations as outlined by site-specific policies. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Must be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As a Security Professional - Retail Roving Patrol in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with guests and tenants, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
