This Surgery Scheduler-Authorization Experience Required Position Features :

2 years of Surgery Scheduling and Insurance Authorization experience REQUIRED.

Immediate need for an experienced Surgery Scheduler at this world-renowned medical organization. This position will support their department with the following duties :

  • Schedule procedures as well as pre and post-op appointments
  • Ensure that prior authorizations are on file
  • Collect medical records from referring physicians
  • Coordinate necessary lab work, EKGs, testing and imaging prior to surgery
  • Update patient charts in Epic
  • Collect necessary signatures
  • Call to discuss surgery day instructions with patients
  • Other administrative duties as needed

    • Requirements :

  • 2 years of recent scheduling experience in a medical setting
  • 2 years of recent insurance authorization experience
  • Experience with an EMR, (Epic preferred)
