We are a highly respected civil engineering firm with offices in the Lehigh Valley and the Slate Belt / Pocono Mountain regions. Our multidisciplinary team includes civil engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, sewage enforcement officers, construction observers and AutoCAD designers. We deliver a diverse portfolio of land development projects across residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal sectors.

Our firm has 15 employees. While this is a new division, existing staff will provide support. We operate full-time in the office, with every other Friday designated as remote. Flexibility can be accommodated in certain circumstances, though our standard policy is in-office.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a Pennsylvania-registered Professional Engineer with at least 10 years of site design and / or municipal engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on water systems and wastewater systems. This role offers a significant growth opportunity, reporting directly to our Principal Engineer while collaborating closely with our Senior Engineer. The Project Engineer will also serve as a key representative for our clients, including municipalities and water / sewer authorities.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through construction.
  • Provide project management oversight, including supervision of support staff.
  • Represent clients such as municipalities and water / sewer authorities, coordinating with municipal, state, and federal agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documents, and public presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with municipal approval processes and ordinance requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and permitting of stormwater management systems.
  • Support the design and construction oversight of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with DEP / EPA standards for water and wastewater projects.
  • Oversee construction-phase services, including contractor coordination, field inspections, and project close-out.
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative, high-quality solutions.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in site design and / or municipal engineering, with demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater systems.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of municipal approval processes, land development, and subdivision projects.
  • Expertise in stormwater management design and permitting.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D preferred.
  • Experience with transportation engineering, sanitary sewer, and water systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with DEP / EPA permitting and compliance requirements strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with municipalities and water / sewer authorities highly valued.
