First Solar is hiring for multiple positions in Perrysburg, OH; Trinity, AL; and New Iberia, LA, in partnership with Women in Cleantech and Sustainability.

Support DE tests in the manufacturing line or perform testing in a lab environment.
Assist in the installation and qualification of systems, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, identify and / or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals. Will include supporting the operation of pilot-line equipment to define a new process followed by a transition to start-up, qualification, and implementation of the new production process with the eventual evolution into a standard production MET position.
The following is an entry-level corporate controls position where a successful candidate will be required to support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation / startup, development of electrical controls systems / designs, PLC / HMI programming, data collection and optimization of manufacturing processes control systems. This position directly supports a manufacturing site; the successful candidate will be assigned to AM shift 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 10 PM. This results in a rotating 36 / 48-hour work week schedule, which includes working every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Install and qualify new process equipment. Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line in a timely manner. These include tool down issues, yield, quality issues and identify actions to prevent repeat issues. Identify and / or implement system improvements that contribute to the achievement of throughput, yield and product performance goals.
Assure the world-wide delivery of finished product from global manufacturing facilities meets First Solar's allocations, customer contracts and requirements ("Supply / Demand") at the best weighted average cost of production and delivery.
The Human Resources Manager performs management-level strategic human resources related duties for First Solar. Ensures all human resources functions and activities run effectively and efficiently and in accordance with First Solar's Code of Conduct, Behaviors & Core Values. Carries out responsibilities across the HR generalist spectrum, including recruiting, employee relations, transaction preparation & processing, process and procedure development and interpretation, benefits, training & communication. Oversees and directs the work of reporting HR staff and encourages the development of the HR staff.
