Promoting and maintaining exceptional customer service. Handling busy, multi-line phone system. Scheduling appointments for all departments, check clients in and out. Act as a point of contact with referral hospitals to ensure all patient records are sent and received appropriately. Act as a liaison between clients and clinical staff, ensuring clear and concise communication. High School diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of Veterinary Customer Service or Hospitality Experience Basic knowledge of veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols. Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors. Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions, and experience with de-escalation of difficult and stressful client or employee situations in a respectful and professional manner. Attention to detail, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills with both clients and team members. Proficient in using computer and phone technology to manage appointments, records, and client communications efficiently. Ability to be flexible and adjust to a consistently changing environment, with a desire to grow and adapt within the hospital and professional field. Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus. VERC is an emergency and referral hospital with 11 doctors. We are fast-paced and high-intensity. Our team is committed to educating our clients on how to keep their pets healthy year-round. We stay on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology, and above all, remember that each patient needs to be treated with loving care.
Veterinary Emergency Referral Center is looking to add an experienced overnight Veterinary Receptionist to our emergency animal hospital.
Our team values top-quality medicine and works hard to stay up to date on the latest advancements and encourages continual growth! Compensation :
- Starting at $16 / hr, will increase with advanced knowledge & experience Additional $2 / hr shift differential after 10pm available for overnights! Anticipated Schedule : Three 12-hour shifts, Days and Nights available!
