Summary
This position supports ILSS activities and priorities by sharing their lived experience with ILP-aged youth and
supporting staff.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma / GED, Associate or Bachelor's degree desired.
Licensure
Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100 / 300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
The Youth Consultant will be a person with lived experience in the foster
care system in Alabama. Excellent oral and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; Ability to
relate to and work well with others; Excellent time-management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple
projects and meet deadlines; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Demonstrate cultural
proficiency and to learn and work within an agency culture of trauma informed care.
Certification
Bi-annual TB skin test / medical report.
Other Requirements
Reliable personal transportation for frequent travel statewide. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
