We have an immediate need for an onsite Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Quality Assurance / Compliance) to support Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS).

Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering department (SWQE) performs classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces.

SWQE Tasks Review of Document Deliverables (CDRL), Command Media (Policies), SW Release Packages (Windchill PDM, Azure DevOps), SW Requirements Changes, SW / System Defects, SW Pulls (Code Reviews), Media, and Test Artifacts. Participation in Peer Reviews (SW, SE), Control Boards (CCB, SRB), Tracking Books (Metrics), Test Witnessing (SQT, FQT), and Audits

Key Programs LADS includes Global Patriot, Ghost-Eye / Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile, Multi-Function Radio Frequency Sensor, Enduring Indirect Fire Protection Capability, Stinger, Next Generation Short-Range Interceptor, TOW, Javelin, Excalibur, and Counter Unmanned Aerial systems.

Key Locations Software Quality collaborates with Engineering (Software, Systems, Integration / Test, Safety) and other Quality functions (Program Quality Leads, Hardware Quality).

Primary activities occur daily onsite in Fullerton (1801 Hughes Drive, CA 92833). May also consider applicants interested in El Segundo (2000 E El Segundo Blvd, CA 90245).

This is an onsite role in Fullerton, CA.

What You Will Do

• Compliance Ensure digital products adhere to contractual requirements. Review and approve inputs / outputs to / from partner organizations.
• Improvement Perform independent evaluations and risk assessments across lifecycle. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Products Ensure integrity of the technical data package. Identify, collect, and measure software quality attributes, metrics, and data.
• Teamwork Interact with customers, product development, and test personnel. Provide guidance to senior management, team members, and group peers.
• Processes Leverage modern experiences with software development and quality best practices. Increasingly adopt Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
