Location : McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital at 110 N. Poplar St., Oxford, OH 45056

Work Hours : \n \n

  • Full-time, 72 hours bi-weekly (10 hrs. shift)

  • Night shift

  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

    Job Overview :

    \n The Technician is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, ensuring the accuracy of test results, and reporting findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may operate in various major laboratory areas, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology / Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. The Technician operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments, utilizes the laboratory computer system for duties, adheres strictly to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor, yet operates independently. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.

    Job Requirements : \n \n

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field, OR clinical experience and MLT education equivalent to MT certification
  • \n

  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • \n

  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification
  • \n

  • MT Clinical Training
  • \n

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a related field
  • \n \n
