Senior Associate Director of MBA Admissions

The Senior Associate Director of MBA Admissions supports the MBA Admissions Director and broader Admissions Team in executing the MBA admissions and recruitment process to enroll diverse cohorts of highly qualified students in the Full Time MBA, Evening, and Global MBA programs. The Senior Associate Director plays a leadership role in event & recruitment strategy, including creating and administering on-site and off-site recruiting events and programs for the Evening MBA and Full-Time MBA programs, developing annual recruitment plans, and supervising an events-focused staff member. This role is also a part of the leadership team that evaluates candidates and makes admission decisions of applicants into the MBA Programs. This role reports to the MBA Director of Admissions.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and execute large-scale events for the Evening MBA and Full-Time MBA programs, including planning event schedules, communicating with attendees, delegating event-related projects to other staff, and coordinating current student volunteers.
- Develop the annual recruiting plan for the Admissions Team. Monitor and keep track of potential recruiting event opportunities. Collect and analyze data to determine individual event RoI metrics. Coordinate with Director of Admissions to strategically decide which recruiting opportunities to participate inbased on staff capacity, expected RoI, and cost. Coordinate team staffing across events and communicate with vendors for event registration.
- Create and manage internal recruiting events calendar. Collaborate with Director of Admissions to determine cadence and schedule of Foster-hosted recruiting events, including information sessions, shadow days, shadow nights, etc. Coordinate with staff to create event registrations, advertise / market events to prospects, and arrange staff coverage.
- Supervise events-focused staff members. This includes one full-time program coordinator as well as 1-4 part-time student coordinators. Provide feedback, guidance, and direction to staff members (including annual performance review(s)).
- Represent Foster MBA programs to prospective students and external stakeholders. Travel extensively both domestically and internationally to represent the Foster MBA programs at recruiting events worldwide. Review and evaluate effectiveness of recruiting methods being used and provide strategic ideas and recommendations for future recruiting efforts.
- Evaluate candidates for admission to the Full-Time and Evening MBA programs by providing detailed written summaries based on submitted applications. Conduct admission interviews both in-person and via webcam and provide written evaluations of the interviews for use in the final decision-making process. These interviews will be conducted on campus, via webcam and on the road in cities around the world. Each year we interview around half of our total applicant pool.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, education, public administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.5+ years in graduate admissions, enrollment management, or related higher education roles.Additional Qualifications :
Demonstrated experience planning and executing large-scale recruitment or yield events.Leadership : Supervisory experience, including coaching and performance management for professional or student staff.Event Management : Proven ability to manage event strategy and coordinate logistics for multiple concurrent events.Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to effectively and charismatically present to large groups and counsel prospective students.Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty, staff, vendors, and prospective students.Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in business, higher education administration, or related field.Experience collecting and analyzing event ROI metrics; ability to use data to inform recruitment strategy.Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) and event registration platforms.Experience evaluating applications and conducting candidate interviews for competitive graduate programs.Ability to assess recruiting methods and recommend improvements to enhance applicant pipeline and yield.Prior experience representing programs internationally and engaging with diverse candidate populations.Working Environmental Conditions :
Must offer quick follow-up to inquiries via e-mail and phone, be available to travel domestically and internationally, and be able to work evenings and weekends as required.This role requires in-person work with the potential to flex some time remotely.Compensation, Benefits and Position Details :
