Summary :
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical assistance and support to our employees.The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Essential Functions :
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via email, phone, or in-person, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Assist with setting up new user accounts and profiles and resetting passwords when necessary.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in maintaining network infrastructure.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and IT procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of IT projects, such as software upgrades, hardware deployments, and system migrations.
- Collaborate with IT team members to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and services.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding IT security, data protection, and confidentiality.
Competencies / Skills :
Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite).Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair.Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.Ability to articulate issues, problem-solve and analyze with creative and outside of the box thinking.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels of the organization.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous but not required.Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay organized and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.Capability to build trusting relationships internally and externally and elicit confidence by demonstrating reliability.Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a cooperative and diverse environment.Capacity to analyze processes, support change and think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals.Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.2+ years relevant experience.Relevant certifications are a plus.
