About The Position

Travel Stepdown RN is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility in West Virginia. Shifts consist of 7-7. 5 South - Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit, 25 bed med / surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown provides an intermediate level of care. Breakdown : 6 bed pediatric trauma, 25 bed med / surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown. Patient age groups : Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics. TBI's. Chest tubes, Wound vac's. Stepdown critical drips : amiodarone, cardizem, precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, nitro. Epidurals for multiple rib fx's, Arterial lines. Fit testing required. Accepts first time travelers. Requirements : ACLS, BCLS, IV Start, Telemetry, 1-year PCU required. Preferred : Vents, Conscious Sedation, Level I Trauma. Previous ortho / trauma experience preferred.
