APP fellow may be required to attend academic sessions and / or complete presentations / lectures / QI projects as determined by APP Fellowship Program.
The Dermatology APP Fellow will receive 1 year of training in Charleston, SC where they will train in clinic alongside physician learners such as residents and fellows in learning a comprehensive approach to patient care. This includes specialized training in therapeutic procedures such as biopsies, advanced injections and cryotherapy.
APPs who have completed all fellowship requirements, will be transitioned to a full-time position in dermatology in Lancaster, SC. Two-year post fellowship commitment is required.
Fair Labor Standards Act : Salaried with a housing stipend for training in Charleston, SC
Hours per week : 40; with additional didactic requirements
Scheduled Shift : M – F
Patient Focus : Outpatient, minimal inpatient
Patient Age Range : 0 years-death
Preferred Training :
Completion of an accredited NP Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN as noted below
FNP (birth to death) Stable chronic disease state management, primary care across the lifespan.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
All certifications must be current and complete prior to start :
Basic Life Support
If applicable, DHEC and DEA license applications must be started
prior to first day.
