Senior Packaging Engineer - Manufacturing : Life Sciences - Beaverton, MI

A Senior Packaging Engineer will lead initiatives across BPS business with our manufacturing team in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical or cleanroom setting. Responsibility includes designing, developing, and validating all packaging systems (new, existing, developing) to meet regulatory, product integrity, and operational requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring product safety, sterility, and compliance across the packaging lifecycle and will also improve our cost position and sustainability aspects of our packaging as well as help with training to manufacturing and engineering on proper handling and packaging of new product lines. This role will work, lead and influence multiple sites packaging approach and work on multiple projects simultaneously while coordinating the management of the change order process with quality team support.

Drive improvement of packaging systems :

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure all packaging systems (new, existing, developing) meet operational and compliance requirements serving as technical and program subject matter expert internally and externally.
• Plan, design, develop, validate, and improve package systems for sterile and non-sterile products
• Focus on usability, cost reduction and sustainability of all packaging.
