Join Our Team as an Electrophysiology Lab Technologist at UPMC!
Hours are 7 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
Are you passionate about advancing patient care through cutting-edge cardiac procedures? UPMC is seeking a dedicated Electrophysiology Lab Technologist to support our dynamic team in delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional services in our state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Lab.
What You’ll Do :
- Assist in performing complex electrophysiology procedures using sterile and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients during procedures and promptly report any abnormal findings.
- Prepare and assemble specialized equipment, ensuring readiness and safety.
- Document procedural events and device usage accurately.
- Collaborate with electrophysiologists by editing and forwarding results / images for interpretation.
- Educate and prepare patients prior to procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Maintain equipment and manage supplies to support seamless operations.

Qualifications :
Education :High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience :If you’ve graduated from a cardiovascular technology program :
1 year of experience in an adult Electrophysiology or Cath Lab is preferred.
If you have not graduated from a cardiovascular technology program :2 years of experience in an adult Electrophysiology or Cath Lab is required.
Certifications (Required) :Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
