Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Orthopedics Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 26 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel RN MS ORTHO Shift : Nights – 4x12 or 3x12 (18 : 45–07 : 15) Requirements Experience : Minimum 1 year (18 months preferred); first-time travelers accepted Certifications : BLS (required) Licensure : Active IL RN license required at time of submission IV / PICC Skills : Required – starting IVs, PICC line management Float Requirement : Must float to other Med Surg departments as needed Block Scheduling : Not accommodated Weekends / Holidays : Every other weekend; must work 2 of 3 major holidays Locals : Accepted Patient Population & Unit Details Common Diagnoses : Orthopedic elective surgeries (total joint replacements – hips, knees, shoulders, spine), trauma requiring multiple orthopedic interventions, osteomyelitis, and other skin / bone infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics. Procedures : Traction, bedside debridement, complex dressing changes. Equipment : Slings, walkers, canes, traction, casts, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, PAS boots, hospital beds, monitors, vein finders. Age Groups : Adults, Geriatrics.
