Duties : Develop and manage numerous technical development projects for the company. Engage in major project planning, further advancement and development of the company’s critical custom proprietary software. Design flow control products and conduct new product development. Prepare take-offs for bids on water control products for use in water treatment, wastewater, CSO, dams and many other projects. Prepare a Custom Technical Electronic Submittal for Client submission, including all technical design calculations, arrangement drawings, Certifications, warranty conditions, material specifications, installation and maintenance details. Investigate company equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to owners / engineers / maintenance crews, and provide feedback to management with suggestions, resolutions, and improvements. Assist with deployment of resources within the company. Conduct and support training on the complete range of company products and their unique designs, material choices and custom capabilities. Review the water control product specifications and developing design accordingly. Coordinate with Customers to develop a design for water flow control equipment.
Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field and (3) years of experience in a related occupation with the following : The American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards. Creating drawings on AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Reviewing water control product specifications and compliance. Designing water control products including Slide gate, flap gate and knife gate valves. Performing FMEA analysis on ANSYS.
Alternate Requirements : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation with the following : The American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards. American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standards. Creating drawings on AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Reviewing water control product specifications and compliance. Designing water control products including Slide gate, flap gate and knife gate valves. Performing FMEA analysis on ANSYS.
